Blueberry Academy for The Gifted was having a festive day where a retirement party was being held for their beloved headmaster Putley. And for good reason, Putley was one of the greatest magicians in the cold, ethereal world of Borealis inhabited by living ice cream. Chapter 1 Nina found herself in the middle of nowhere during her long hike. The excursion was something of a secret giveaway they sent out to random martial artists after winning a tournament. And she rightfully deserved it after winning a few B-list venues. Nonetheless, she was simply infatuated by the most beautiful grasslands and took photos. The Silat fighter was awestruck by the beautiful meadow that she had no desire to leave. Nina had to stay and take photos and with her phone and camera. The city of Dunmore was always as it had been. Gloomy. Dark. And it had that familiar urban smell one would expect out of metropolitan areas. That's not including the heavy clouds of smoke and ash being puked out from the chimneys and smokestacks. An occasional blimp or police airship would be seen hovering over the building. Down in the streets, citizens were out and about in their daily activities. A slug lady was walking her cat. An octopus with a top hat was standing near a booth, loitering and eying at any female who passed by. Many traders had their stands set up, calling out to any potential customers to purchase their products or wares. Deep within the downtown marketplace, there was a hidden eatery called the Leaky Barrel. It was your average bar, selling alcoholic drinks and delicious bar food. It was geared towards the working class and downtrodden folks, but affluent customers were welcomed as well since the owner used to be a chef for the wealthy founders of Dunmore.

Bree stared blankly on her phone at the latest Facebook post before gazing at the restaurant before her. The place was fucking dead. Empty chairs and tables, no families standing at the mostly deserted conveyor buffet, and zero chatter about the vintage newspaper clips hanging on the walls about possible signs of alien life. All Bree could think about was, what happened to this place. It used to be teeming with life. The pizzeria found great success by attracting a family-oriented clientele. As the name suggested, it was space-themed, from its starlight wallpaper and "futuristic" interior to the spaceship and alien decorum. One of the most prominent features of the place was a "robotic conveyor" buffet serving various pizzas and salads. It was a shame. The young lady had been working at Pizzeria 51 since it opened, and saw many customers at almost all hours of the day and evening until midnight.
