Esme smiled as two potential buyers approached her booth, impressed by her oil and airbrush paintings depicting environments of childhood memories. The couple showed acute interest for one piece showing a vibrant sunset and a swing tree. There adds another $2,450 to her banking account.

“Thank you very much!” She called out as they left with their new painting.

With no one coming to her booth at the moment, Esme sat at her desk, grabbing a black flip book and stared at pictures of heavyset men. She always liked the particular photo of a pale gentleman with long black hair and blue eyes. He almost reminded her of her first and only boyfriend from thirty-five years ago.

Esme was lost into her flipbook for seven minutes before being interrupted yet again by another buyer.

“Excuse me, Ms. LeBeau?” said a woman with a slight lisp.

The painter jumped in her seat and slammed the book when she stared at the woman with glasses and a tight hair bun. She quickly regained her business composure.

“Ah! You must be the art collector, Henrietta Davis?”

The lady pushed up her glasses and continued, “Yes, I’ve been wanting to purchase a few pieces for the longest time now.”

“Of course. Right this way, Mrs. Davis." the artist said as she invited the collector into her booth.

The art collector gazed at Esme’s many works before one painting caught her attention.

“This one, right here!”

“You like the ‘Evening at Grandmother Willow’s’?" Esme asked. The women spoke about the lovely picture of three children playing outside during twilight in front of their grandmother’s home with a large oak tree.

“I like how you made the twilight sky contrast the neutral colors of the house and cool grassy colors without over-saturating either of them! It brings a warm, cozy atmosphere I personally want to see in my home.”

“Of course. I heard all your reviews that you collect dynamic art.”

“Indeed. Every time, I see your work, I have this strange urge to buy something from you. I think these paintings will be a nice break from all the activity adorning my walls.”

“Thank you very much!” Esme smiled.

Again, another busy and successful day at the national art show, yet Esme was slowly becoming wrapped up in her misery as time progressed. Aside from painting her next piece, the woman would be deep into her computer looking at plus-sized models and heavyset men as a form of ‘inspiration’ for her trying out bigger body types that never came. She kept telling herself on attending body sketching classes for thicker models. It never happened.

Esme kept many things undisclosed in her personal life from her professional life, and one thing that was hidden from the world was her status as a fat admirer. A fat admirer who never shared her preference to anyone. She vowed to keep this a secret since her youth. In her adolescence, she met a very obese boy in high school who was the only person she fell in love with. However, her parents were more or less passive-aggressive when they met him for the first time. Esme could never forget the subtle look of disgust her father had while her mother just frowned in disappointment. As if they wanted their daughter to meet a boy who was groomed by golden standards of Hollywood. She only dated him for a short time but it was becoming too much to escape her parents' disapproval so they stopped dating.

The artist never heard of the term ‘fat admirer’ before snooping onto a related website back in the early 2000s and that term stayed with her since. Only by name, not by practice. Her interest in dating or relationship had long since passed, but she came into contact with plenty of larger men and women for platonic purposes. She even found her old boyfriend as well!

Despite achieving some victories, Esme still had a dilemma. The source behind her anxiety were that she would rather express her FA desires into her artistic endeavors, but her crippling fears of being ostracized and questioned from her fans and enthusiasts would cause unforeseen, unwanted backlash prevented her from doing so. Her thinking about it became too much, and it only made her temporarily withdrawn until she got out of those ruts. And during those ruts, Esme would be busy drawing bigger people to make her feel better, but none of them came out great.

Her breaking point was near. She needed to get away from it all so she could let herself think and open up. Far away from her demons until something could be remedied. She had to go somewhere and be left alone.

The artist secluded to a beach house off the shore of a rocky coast in Greece. Esme could finally breathe happy where she was alone with her canvases and paintbrushes while hearing seagulls and the ocean shore.

Esme brought out her supplies to a lovely cliff where she had a fantastic view of the sea below.

Now, this is just what I needed.

The woman painted a sunny sky with a flock of birds while inhaling the sea air and bathing in the sun. She smiled as she stroke her canvas while almost having her eyes closed.

The painter created landscapes different from her usual subject matter such as beaches and other bodies of water for the sake of her trip.

Later, Esme took an afternoon nap where the therapeutic mood from her painting made her drowsy. She woke up and gathered her composure from where she left off. The artist moved stood up from her seat until… something caught her attention.

Twenty-five miles from her summer house was something standing the sea with the water touching up only to their knees.

Esme ran towards the edge of the cliff for have a closer look at the giant figure.

They were huge and their body was had their backside turned. But to Esme's amazement, this giant standing stories high carried a hefty piece of meat on their figure. They were almost nude other than wearing loincloth and shorts. When the giant turned around,  it was a man….

This unusual discovery forced Esme crack her face into an almost overly gleeful smile. To put it simply, he was fat. Obese to the brink of what was possible to the human body.  His many mounds and folds of blubber adorned his fat so well around his legs and arms; his rich ivory skin drenched in the sea water glistened in the sunlight. His butt was the epitome of a woman’s backside girth enhanced. Finally, his gut was a masterpiece of adipose hanging just above the knees.  His hair was shaded night ebony that draped over his wide, soft shoulders and back.

Oh, mother of god, this is just what I needed all my life.

“I cannot believe I missed out on so much during the last thirty-five years. This is… is just perfect.”

Esme had never been so enthralled by something like this. She began weeping with tears of joys but also with deep sadness. The crushing weight of decades wasted really made the woman sob deeply. Esme skipped so many missed opportunities in indulging into her preference due to ostracism.

Not this time. There was no one but her. That man was there only for her and her eyes alone.

The giant man was her dream come true. She could feel her hands touching the many folds of his figure while being smothered by his girth.

Esme breathed as of she was having an orgasm. She grabbed a paintbrush and white canvas and painted the lovely giant.

Once she was done, she stepped back to get a good look at the completed canvas. Esme started laughing at herself. This was a masterpiece worth looking into. Putting in all her love and inspiration made it beautiful.

Can't wait until people get a load of this!

The painting put her at ease. The fear of backlash holding her back was a thing of the past. And from that day forward, a new change in her artistic endeavors met a whole new world of possibilities.

Inspiration strikes again. And the product could be considered 'literal' this time around.

I think this is my first time trying to write something surreal. (It's hard, yo.) But that's not the only attempt I intended with this vignette. I wanted to write an idea about a FA who has a hard time coming out in a different spin. And I think an artist was suited for it.

Enjoy.

This is a very interesting piece...I have to say I've never read this sort of thing before, but I suppose it's always good to break out and try something new every now and again.
